The line of Colby Pridham, Jakub Voracek and Logan MacMillan worked its playoff magic again.
The Halifax Mooseheads trio blew open a 2-2 game in the second period with four straight goals, including a hat trick from Pridham, to spark a 7-2 victory over the host Victoriaville Tigres in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoff action on Saturday.
The Mooseheads grabbed a 3-2 series lead, with Game 6 set for Monday at 7 p.m. at the Metro Centre.
The Pridham, Voracek and MacMillan line was a force in last year's playoffs, combining for 61 points in 12 games, but has rarely seen the ice as a unit this season.
"Jake and Logan have great chemistry, they're both very, very smart players, and you throw Pridham in there, who's a good goal scorer and an intelligent player as well, you've got a great combination," Mooseheads head coach Cam Russell told 92 CJCH. "It's one of those lines that we always come back to, we always talk about, and those three guys, they want to play together, they all like each other and they have great chemistry. We put them together and tonight it definitely worked."
Voracek had a goal and two assists and MacMillan had two assists. Bryce Swan, Peter-James Corsi and Justin Pender had the other goals for ther Mooseheads, while Mark Yetman stopped 20 shots.
