The BottleHouse is dubiously located at the corner of Memorial Drive and 10th Street which has cursed other failed restaurants. But the owners are determined to turn the tide with satisfying pub fare, friendly service and a decent selection of beer.

A lunch special changes daily, along with a regular menu that offers something for everyone including sandwiches (clubhouse, turkey, steak, pulled pork), burgers, pasta, and fish and chips.

Mini bison burgers ($8.85) come on extremely fresh glossy buns, with a lip-smacking roasted red pepper mayo. Breaded with buttermilk, popcorn shrimp ($8.95) are hot and crispy to the last morsel.

The BottleHouse surprises with a fabulous salad ($11.95) of field greens with grilled Okanagan pear, candied walnuts, crumbled blue cheese and a perky raspberry vinaigrette.

Canadian microbreweries are a highlight of the beer menu, where prices — bottles average $4.75 and pints $6.75 — will entice you to stay past lunch time.
