While many companies are cutting back, one Calgary company is shipping out.

IT company, Userful, is celebrating a massive order from Brazil. More than 350,000 workstations will be installed over the next year. Userful's involvement is providing the software to turn them green.

Up to ten workstations can run off of one computer. This cuts down on the cost, while only having a small impact on performance, according to Userful's president Timothy Griffin. He said a computer's performance is used in spikes, and rarely on a ten-workstation setup will two users call for the performance at the same time.

Having less computers, means less environmental waste and power usage. It is a low cost option, at a time companies are looking to cut down on their IT costs.
