The 4th annual Reel Fun Film festival will kick off Monday at Cardel Theatre, featuring a day filled with film, fun, and festivities.

“It’s going to be an all day event, and it’s going to be so much fun because families can come interact with actual film teams,” said Cathy Mckee, festival director.

Movie animals will be there, as well as makeup artists and other film folks.

The festival will run until Feb. 22 and showcase a wide selection of Canadian and international films, some of which will be premiering at the festival.

“We’re really excited because we just got The Secret of Kells, an Oscar nominated film,” said Mckee.

The closing gala will feature the Canadian Premiere of Broken Hill, with producer Chris Wyatt (Napoleon Dynamite) and writer/director Dagen Merrill in attendance.
