Calgarians have a chance to ask mayoral and aldermanic candidates of the upcoming election questions that really matter to them.

CivicCamp chair Peter Rishaug announced the dates of 15 upcoming Citizen’s Forums directed at giving people a say leading up to the Oct. 18 election.

“What we have found is that it’s less about the pedestrian bridge and airport tunnel and more about longer term issues that will affect the city,” Rishaug said.

He added the CivicCamp forums allow people to get involved and ask the questions that matter to them, rather than have a third-party moderator.

“We’re giving Calgarians a chance to get to know their candidates and better understand the issues,” he said.

Rishaug said more than 100 Calgarians have already submitted questions over the past three months and voted 808 times online.
