After 22 years of having designs on each other, Metro columnists and hosts of HGTV’s Colin & Justin’s Home Heist Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan have married in a hush-hush ceremony.

The Scottish design duo confirmed yesterday they secretly wed on Feb. 15 at the Chelsea Registry office in London, England, after experiencing life in Canada.

“After a year of living in Toronto, filming Home Heist, it became clear to us that it was time to tie the knot,” says Ryan. “Canada is such a progressive nation, so welcoming and open-mindedly liberal about gay marriage, that we felt thoroughly inspired.”

While the couple’s mothers gave their blessings, just two close friends, Elaine and George Ponte, attended the ceremony and served as witnesses.

Ryan and McAllister have just returned to Canada after a honeymoon in Nevis, in the Caribbean. They were secretly engaged last December.
