Police have charged a 43-year-old woman in connection with a food tampering incident at a northwest Calgary Co-Op.

A charge of mischief over $5,000 was laid against Tatyana Granada in relation to metal pins found in cheese and flatbreads at the Oakridge Co-Op on March 11.

There were several previous similar incidents in January and February and police are continuing their investigation into those events. The store increased security after the initial incidents and the store was hit again twice in March.
