Next week eclectic, electro acoustic and out-of-the-ordinary sounds will be streaming from the doors of Whyte Avenue’s Wunder Bar. Band members from the Boreal Electroacoustic Music Society (BEAMS) will showcase their talent during a two-night show, BEAMS at the Wunder Bar, on Aug. 7 and 8.

Gene Kosowan, Secretary of BEAMS and a member of Condoleeza Rice Paddies, will perform his last show with his bandmates. Just like their music, the other five performers will rock out to something different most aren’t accustomed to listening to.

“It’s not a mainstream genre of music,” explained Kosowan. “It’s very eclectic and acoustic.”
