Women’s magazines in North America are upping their feminist content these days, and in Canada it’s nowhere been more striking than at Chatelaine.

But for the magazine, it’s actually nothing new. Chatelaine was a stridently feminist magazine in the ‘60s and ‘70s, under the helm of the revolutionary Doris Anderson, who tripled its readership. The mag is the best read in Canada today, and we find out what’s behind this return to more of your grandmother’s Chatelaine.

On the show:

Lianne George (@liannegeorge), editor-in-chief of Chatelaine magazine for the past year, and deputy editor from 2014-2015.
