Astronaut Chris Hadfield tweeted a photo of himself holding a Maple Leafs logo in space at the end of the NHL lockout and tweeted that he was ready to cheer for the Leafs from orbit.
In 2011, Justin Bieber told a U.S. radio station he loves the Leafs, but they’re a “tough team” to like, which proves he is not a bandwagon jumper. He was spotted wearing a Chicago Blackhawks cap the next day. In December of that year, he skated with the Leafs.
New Zealander Russell Crowe became a Leafs fan after shooting Cinderella Man at Maple Leaf Gardens.
