The Halifax Rainmen’s top draft choice still hasn’t reported to training camp and might not show up at all.

Omar Weaver, a six-foot-eight guard/forward picked sixth overall in the Premier Basketball League draft, is dealing with undisclosed paperwork issues in his attempt to come to Canada.

Kendel Provet, a guard hoping to try out for the team, is having similar problems and also hasn’t shown.

“If it’s gonna take too long, we’re going to go in another direction,” said Rainmen owner Andre Levingston. “I’m already talking to players. We can’t be without.”

The Rainmen opened training camp in Yarmouth yesterday.
