Spryfield's Graham Bona is the newest captain of the Halifax Mooseheads.

The Mooseheads made the announcement on Thursday at a small media gathering at the Metro Centre.

Bona, 20, is one of the most experienced players in the league, with 234 career regular season games and 37 playoff games.

The assistant captains haven't been named, but Justin Pender and Logan MacMillan would have to be considered locks, while Travis Randell, Ben MacAskill and Gabriel O'Connor would be in the mix for a third A.

Pick up Thursday's Metro for a closer look at Bona's career.
