Jessyko Bernard should get a chance to produce bigger offensive numbers this coming season.
Three members of the Halifax Mooseheads who could make significant gains in 2009-10.
C GERRAD GRANT -- Grant is a hard-working playmaker who could do some damage as a 19- and 20-year-old, especially if he gains muscle. The departures of Alexis Piette, Jan Stransky and possibly Yuri Cheremetiev make him a front-line player for the Herd.
F JESSYKO BERNARD -- For a 20-game stretch last year, Bernard was scoring at a point-per-game pace on the top line with Tomas Knotek. Then he disappeared. But at 18, he'll be asked to take on a scoring-line role and has size and hands to rise to the occasion.
D PASCAL AMYOT -- If he doesn't have a big year, the Mooseheads are in trouble. He's their No. 1 defenceman with Gabriel O'Connor gone and will log big minutes. His offensive numbers should rise sharply but can he step up defensively and physically?
An omission from this list is Gabriel Desjardins, but he seemed too obvious. Only 17, he could be one of the team's most valuable players.

You hit it right on the head Matthew. We paid dearly for a player we did not need. I believe we could have picked up a couple of solid defencemen for 4th or 5th round picks. The teams chemistry was...

This was a really good effort by the team. If they keep playing this way the bounces will start going their way. Keep up the good work. Ratcat
