Tomas Knotek will tryout for a contract with the Minnesota Wild for the second straight year.
Tomas Knotek has received his second straight invite to an NHL prospects tournament with the Minnesota Wild.
The reigning Halifax Mooseheads MVP will compete with the Wild at the annual event in Traverse City, Mich., in September. He had 20 goals and 29 assists for 49 points in 52 games last season with the Mooseheads, tying Yuri Cheremetiev for the team lead.
The 19-year-old undrafted forward saw his tryout with the Wild last season cut short because of injury. He projects as an offensive leader for the Mooseheads in 2009-10.
Former Mooseheads forward Bryce Swan and North Sydney's Michael Kirkpatrick of the Saint John Sea Dogs will also play for the Wild at the prospects tournament.
