Garrett Clarke is tied for the QMJHL lead in penalty minutes along with teammate Spencer Metcalfe with 63.
The Halifax Mooseheads are last in the QMJHL, but they're one of the league's leaders in pugilism.
The Mooseheads are second in the Q with 25 fights, trailing only to the Bathurst Titan's 33 according to hockeyfights.com. Not only that, but 19-year-old defenceman Spencer Metcalfe sits atop the league with seven fighting majors, while 17-year-old blueliner Garrett Clarke is tied for second with six. Rookie rear-guard Sawyer Hannay is next with three.
Both Metcalfe and Clarke are tied for the league lead in penalty minutes with 63 apiece.
The Mooseheads were third in fights last season with 44, tied for 10th in 2007-08 with 61, 13th in 2006-07 with 55, and tied for 12th in 2005-06 with 64. Fighting statistics for all major leagues are available from hockeyfights.com.
The Mooseheads are currently on pace for 77 fights.
So are the Mooseheads undisciplined? Actually, no. They're 13th in power plays against with just 113 (about five per game).

Maybe now is the time for Cam to consider going up stairs full time and bring in a new coaching staff for next year. It obviously hasn't worked for the last three years, so maybe a change is required.
