The Halifax Mooseheads got smacked around in Bathurst, N.B., on Friday night.

The Mooseheads got crunched 8-1 by the host Titan, falling behind 2-0 in the first 83 seconds and 3-0 in the opening 6:20 and not getting on the board until midway through the third period when they were already trailing 8-0.

Brent Andrews, with his seventh, scored with 11:29 remaining to give the Mooseheads some life heading into Sunday's road game against the Saint John Sea Dogs.

The Mooseheads were outshot 46-28, although the dangerous-shot edge was just 10-6 for the Titan.

Peter Delmas got the start and was pulled after allowing seven goals on 37 shots through 46:20. Mathieu Corbeil stopped eight of nine.

The Mooseheads, 13-45-6, are already guaranteed to finish last in the QMJHL and with their lowest win and point total of all-time. They have just four games remaining.
