Sexy Laundry

Starring Wililam Vickers and Sherry Smith, this funny and fast-paced 90-minute play directed by Marcia Kash looks at a wife trying to rekindle the passion in her marriage after 25 years together.

The former lead singer and songwriter with Barenaked Ladies is now on his own and is coming to town to perform a mix of old favourites and new jams.

Dead of Winter Music Festival

When: Through Sunday
Where: Various venues
Now in its fifth year, this festival brings together a diverse group of acoustic musicians to celebrate the excellence of our musicians and provide venues for artists who have not yet had the opportunity to perform their music to a wider audience.

Premier Basketball League
When: Sunday, 2 p.m.
Where: Halifax Metro Centre
The Halifax Rainmen have been perfect at home this season, and they’ll look to continue that when the Rochester RazorSharks come for a visit.

Marcus Beaubier
When: Friday, 8:30 p.m.; Saturday, 8 and 10:30 p.m.
Where: Westin Nova Scotia
Beaubier hails originally from Newfoundland, but now lives in Alberta and the irony is not lost on him as its become part of his stand-up routine. Joining him are openers Matt Billon and Catherine Robertson.

Bust a Move
When: Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Where: Halifax Metro Centre
