A 59-year-old man and an 18-year-old female are each facing several charges including attempted murder after police say a violent home invasion in Eskasoni over the weekend resulted in a 27-year-old being seriously injured.
The RCMP say the alleged incident took place at 4:40 a.m. Sunday in the First Nations community outside of Sydney. The victim remains in hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
Sylvester Paul, 59, of Malagwatch, appeared in Sydney provincial court yesterday also charged with break and enter and theft.
The 18-year-old female from Eskasoni faces the same charges and remains in police custody. She will appear in court at a later date.
