A 37-year-old man has been charged after Halifax Regional Police say a man broke into the Virgin mobile phone kiosk at Scotia Square Mall over the weekend and stole several BlackBerrys.

Police say when staff arrived at work Sunday morning they found a glass door forced open and a quantity of BlackBerrys stolen. Police say the suspect was identified through a mall security video and located a short time later at the corner of Gottingen and Buddy Daye streets. He was arrested just after 8:30 p.m. and is scheduled to appear in court next month charged with break and enter.

Police say the stolen items were also recovered.
