A 23-year-old man is facing several charges including robbery as Halifax Regional Police say a gun-carrying suspect held up the Petro-Canada gas station on Joseph Howe Dr. late Monday evening.
Police say at about 10 p.m., a man entered the station wearing a mask and pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded cash. The man fled the scene with a small amount of money and lottery tickets, police say, and was apprehended a short distance away. There were no injuries, and police said they found the firearm and stolen items on the suspect.
The 23-year-old was due in Halifax provincial court yesterday charged with robbery and wearing a disguise while committing a robbery.
