A Canadian Forces military police officer is facing a charge of aggravated assault following an early morning altercation yesterday near the corner of Blowers and Market streets in downtown Halifax that sent another man to hospital with a head injury.
Halifax Regional Police say Christopher Michael Vining, 23, has been released and will appear in court at a later date.
Police allege Vining and another man were involved in a fight at 2:40 a.m. yesterday near Pizza Corner, with the victim being taken to hospital for treatment of a head injury. Vining was taken into police custody and charged yesterday afternoon.
