A 36-year-old man is facing charges of impaired driving and refusing to provide a blood sample after police say he drove his vehicle into a ditch on Mineville Road.
Halifax RCMP say the man said he was driving on the road when he swerved to miss two deer, lost control and wound up in the ditch. Police say he was the only person in the vehicle.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. He was released from arrest and will appear in court at a later date.
