Police are hoping the public can help them find a man accused of sexually assaulting a minor two months ago.

Samuel Otis Downey, 41, is charged with sexual assault, forcible confinement and sexual interference with a minor female after an alleged incident in early January. So far, police say Downey has been able to evade custody.

The Halifax RCMP released a photo of Downey yesterday and announced a nationwide warrant for the man.

Downey is known to frequent the Halifax area as well as Ontario. Anyone with information on Downey is asked to call RCMP, Halifax Regional Police, or Crime Stoppers.
