Man in hospital after seemingly random attack

A 51-year-old man is in hospital after being struck with a piece of wood in a seemingly random daytime assault yesterday in Dartmouth.

The man was walking on Irving Street around 5:40 p.m. when he was attacked. He suffered serious head injuries and was taken to the QEII hospital for treatment. One male and one female were arrested and police are still seeking another man. The motive for the attack is not known.
