The lineup for the 10th year of the alfresco filmFesto on the Halifax waterfront has been announced.

The schedule begins Friday, July 23 with the hit film Dirty Dancing. Over the next five Fridays, the films being shown are Easy Rider (July 30), Annie (Aug. 6), Sixteen Candles (Aug. 13), The Karate Kid (Aug. 20) and Clue (Aug. 27).

The Atlantic Film Festival Association puts together this filmFesto with the movies to be projected on a new 30-foot inflatable screen at the end of the waterfront’s boardwalk.

The gates open each night at 8 p.m., with the movies beginning at 9 p.m.

People are asked to bring their own lawn chair or blanket for seating.
