Service should be restored today to the roughly 100 homes still without power after hurricane Earl.

Nova Scotia Power spokeswoman Patty Faith yesterday said crews were working on about 100 individual power outages in the province, 18 of which were in HRM.

“Our crews (are) going door-to-door literally to civic addresses just to repair that damage,” she said.

Faith said the remaining outages were isolated, mostly caused by high winds and downed trees from Saturday’s weather.

At the peak, about 220,000 households and businesses were without power as a result of the storm.
