What is RSS?
Put simply, RSS—which stands for Really Simple Syndication—is a way for you to subscribe to different Metro content and read it wherever and however you like, easily and for free.
We've created a number of different RSS "feeds" containing different categories of Metro content. You just have to pick which feeds you want to subscribe to. For example, there's a different feed for your local news stories, celebrity buzz stories, and sports stories. There are also individual feeds for each column and blog if you want to follow your favourite author.
How does it work?
If you have a personalized homepage like iGoogle or My Yahoo!, you may already be using RSS feeds without even knowing it! That's one way of subscribing, by adding RSS feeds to a personalized page. Another way is to use an RSS reader, like Google Reader. All of the feeds you subscribe to will then come into that reader for you to view. It's a bit like email, except that it doesn't clutter up your email box, and you get to easily decide which feeds you want to see.
To get started, click on one of our RSS feeds below, then select how you'd like to subscribe. Alternatively, you can copy the address of the RSS feed and then paste it into your favourite reader or personalized page.
