Oprah Winfrey is planning to shut down parts of a New York City highway next year for a mammoth block party to celebrate the tenth anniversary of her magazine, femalefirst.co.uk reports.

The media mogul launched O, The Oprah Magazine nine years ago — and is planning a major party for next May to celebrate the long-running title.

According to E! Online, Winfrey is looking to shut down portions of the city’s West Side Highway for a block party for all her fans — in addition to a star-studded musical revue scheduled at Radio City Music Hall.

A City Hall official has confirmed Winfrey has made permit enquiries for the event; however, the star has so far refused to confirm any details.

Her spokesperson said, “While it is too soon to discuss specifics, we are looking forward to celebrating in a big way.”
