With her flamboyant behaviour and over-the-top costumes, it’s easy to forget that it was Lady Gaga songs that catapulted her into the spotlight. Her new eight-song EP — which is also packaged with her debut as a deluxe version — pushes her songwriting skills (and those of her songwriters) even further, tackling Shakira-like Latin on Alejandro and jangly soul on Teeth. It’s clear that Gaga doesn’t want to be a one-album wonder.
