Kiefer Sutherland is out $860,000 US thanks to a Ponzi scheme involving Mexican cows, according to TMZ. Before the suspect, Michael Wayne Carr, ripped the 24 star off for nearly a million dollars, he made Sutherland a $130,000 profit on a smaller deal to gain his confidence, according to court documents.

The scam involved a plan to purchase cattle in Mexico and sell it at a profit in the U.S. Carr currently faces 12 charges, including grand theft and embezzlement.
