The Saint Mary’s Huskies are riding a seven-game winning streak heading into Atlantic University Sport’s Loney Bowl.

Saint Mary’s wrapped up the AUS football season on Friday with a 21-7 win over the Acadia Axemen on Friday at Huskies Stadium. The Huskies have been on a tear since dropping their season-opener to the St. Francis Xavier X-Men.

Rookie running back Tristan Jones had a touchdown and Justin Palardy set a single-season AUS record for field goals with 23 after booting four through the uprights.

The Huskies meet the winner of Saturday’s Acadia-St. F.X. semifinal in the Loney Bowl on Nov. 14.

The Huskies could hear word as early as today on their appeal of a three-game suspension to running back Devon Jones. Jones served one game of the suspension on Friday.
