The Saint Mary’s Huskies’ defence is about to face its biggest test yet against the Calgary Dinos on Saturday.

The Dinos are a well-oiled scoring machine that led the country in rushing yards while averaging close to 600 yards and 40 points in offence each game. The Huskies’ stout defence, meanwhile, has almost singlehandedly led them to wins, allowing fewer than 15 points per game, third in the country.

“I’m impressed with their front seven,” said Dinos head coach Blake Nill. “We’re expecting pressure, we’re expecting a physical game.”

“Defensively, we have a lot of speed, and we’re going to need it because they have a lot of speed on offence,” said Huskies head coach Steve Sumarah.

“It’s a good matchup.”
