The Halifax Mooseheads will be without rookie left-winger Carl Gelinas for the rest of the QMJHL season.

Gelinas, who is fourth in team scoring with 14 goals among 30 points in 56 games and was named the team’s rookie of the year, has a sprained and hasn’t played Feb. 13.

The Mooseheads visit the Bathurst Titan on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and the Saint John Sea Dogs on Sunday 4 p.m.

Left-winger Dylan McGuigan (concussion) could also be out of the lineup, while defenceman Steve Gillard, out with strep throat and a shoulder injury, returned to full-contact practice on Thursday and could be ready to play on Friday.
