Halifax’s Christian Upshaw has earned his second straight Atlantic University Sport men’s basketball MVP award.

The point guard became the first repeat MVP winner since Saint Mary’s Huskies forward Gabe Goree did it in 2003-04. He was third in AUS scoring with 19.5 points per game and led the X-Men to a second-place record of 18-2. Upshaw was also named to the AUS first all-star team along with Saint Mary’s Huskies guards Joey Haywood and Mark McLauglin and Dalhousie Tigers guard Simon Farine.
