The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles are sticking with Mario Durocher.

The Screaming Eagles, who were ousted from the QMJHL playoffs in the first round, have signed Durocher to a two-year extension as head coach and general manager through the 2011-12 season.

He has held the dual role for the past two seasons and was an assistant coach for the two previous seasons.

The Magog, Que., native has an 88-39-5-4 record with the Screaming Eagles and is 282-231-26 lifetime in the QMJHL. He won the President’s Cup with the Victoriaville Tigres in 2002 and won silver as head coach of Team Canada at the 2004 world junior championship in Finland.
