Bryce Swan has turned down a contract offer from the Anaheim Ducks and will re-enter the NHL draft.
Anaheim assistant general manager David McNab confirmed that Swan, a second-round pick (38th overall) of the Ducks in 2006, didn’t sign by yesterday’s 6 p.m. deadline.
It’s the second-straight year Swan, a Halifax Mooseheads forward, has turned down a Ducks offer, McNab said.
“We made him an offer last year and we made him an offer this year,” McNab said. “He didn’t think the offer was sufficient and didn’t take it.”
Swan and agent Tim Cranston did not return phone messages.
