This October, the New York Institute of Technology’s (NYIT) Vancouver campus will host the inaugural International Conference on Intelligent, Secure, and Dependable Systems in Distributed and Cloud Environments (ISDDC 2017).
“We want to look at the latest issues, solutions and trends when it comes to making Cloud environments more secure,” says Ahmed Awad, an associate professor for NYIT’s master of science in information, network and computer security program, and an ISDDC 2017 organizer. “We have an excellent selection of keynote speakers and worked hard to ensure we accepted only the highest quality papers.”
Awad says the conference is a way to help prepare NYIT’s students for the industry.
“It’s so important for us to bring new technology and new ideas to campus,” Awad says. “We’ve even had some students submit papers to be evaluated, which is something we recommend they do to prepare for the industry.”
A collaboration between professors at NYIT, the University if Victoria, Ryerson University in Toronto and the University of Delhi in India, ISDDC 2017 will take place Oct. 26 to 28.
