Do the job we sent you to Ottawa to do, that was the message sent to parliamentarians by about a dozen Citizens for Canada protestors yesterday refuting the need for a fall federal election.
"Canada was built on co-operation from sea to sea to sea," said protest organizer Grant Neufeld, calling for compromise between all parties. "We should have a government that reflects those values rather than being rooted in oppositional politics as they are now where it has to be my way or the highway."
Hopes weren't high for their message to find support in the nation's capital, Neufeld said, but they weren't about to let the government be taken down without at least voicing their opinions.
