For better or for worse, Calgary goes to the polls on Oct. 16 to choose the mayor and city council who will lead our city for the next four years.

Ward 9 is quite diverse. It stretches from Acadia to Bridgeland to Dover and covers many communities like inner-city Inglewood and suburban Riverbend.

Incumbent Councillor Gian-Carlo Carra was elected to city hall in 2010 but several new faces are hoping to take his seat at the table.
