Two killed in snowplow crash in N.L.

DEER LAKE, N.L. - Two people are dead following a collision between a car and a snowplow on a snow-covered highway in western Newfoundland.

RCMP say the crash happened around 2:30 p.m. on Route 430, which is also known as the Viking Trail.

Police say there were only two people in the car.

The driver of the plow was not hurt.

The Mounties say road and weather conditions were poor at the time.
