MP Peter Stoffer laying it on the line in Mooseheads’ Memorial Cup bid

Maybe Peter Stoffer will be the x-factor for the Halifax Mooseheads.

The house is at stake for the Sackville-Eastern Shore MP, who’s backing the Moose all the way as they prepare for the Portland Winterhawks in their Memorial Cup opener on Saturday in Saskatoon.

But the Herd will also have to get by the London Knights in the four-team tourney in order to taste junior hockey supremacy.

Naturally, Stoffer and London West MP Ed Holder are betting on a title for their hometown team.

The loser wears the winning squad’s jersey during Question Period at the House of Commons.

Holder’s promising to sacrifice a pile of London based Labatt's products, while Stoffer’s ready to forfeit only the finest and freshest Nova Scotia lobsters.
