Clara Hughes to headline special week at King's college

A champion on many fronts, Clara Hughes is coming back to London this week.

Hughes, a six-time Olympic medalist and mental health advocate, will be at King’s University College on Thursday as the school marks Mental Health Awareness Week.

Her 7 p.m. appearance in the Joanne & Peter Kenny Theatre is one of several events lined up to breathe a little inspiration – and relaxation — into students’ lives.

Along with meditation, the student council is setting aside time for students to get cuddly with therapy dogs between classes, take in a little yoga and get free massages.

The Joanne & Peter Kenny Theatre is in the school’s Darryl J. King Student Life Centre (266 Epworth Ave.).
