Local swimmer Meagan Michie set a goal to match her best personal times when she competed at the Athens Special Olympics World Summer Games?' and she ended up winning four gold medals.
She has Prader-Willi syndrome, which means she's constantly hungry. She focuses her energy by training constantly in the pool and the weight room with the GO Kingfish Swim Club. And it is clearly paying off.
Her efforts have earned her a sponsor and the Athens gold medal wins and now she's set her sights on qualifying for more high-profile inter-national competitions ' including the London Paralympic games.
