A new interprovincial transit study by the National Capital Commision is set to recommend more integration between OC Transpo and Gatineau's STO bus services.
Set for release next month, the study looks for ways to more smoothly transport the more than 60,000 commuters who travel back and forth between Ottawa and Gatineau each day.
"We're looking to get a better transit connection between the two provinces," said NCC representative, Mario Tremblay. "Our recommendations are going out in April, but the report is not ready just yet."
As both cities are undergoing a period of population growth, new strategies for moving people around with greater ease are needed, says the project's website.
