Two people homeless after apartment fire on Lees Avenue

Two people are homeless after a fire broke out in their apartment on Lees Avenue early Sunday morning.
Firefighters received a 911 call from the occupant of unit 1203 at 170 Lees who reported a fire just after midnight, Ottawa Fire Services said.
Upon arrival, firefighters tackled a bedroom that had been fully involved. They brought the fire under control by 1:22 a.m.
Ottawa Fire Services said paramedics treated two occupants for smoke inhalation and were transported to hospital.
The fire caused $250,000 in damages to the apartment and $35,000 to its contents.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
She alludes to being sexually assaulted, but writes, "however you want to look at it, this was all my doing and I take full responsibility."
