Ottawa man arrested for human trafficking

A 26-year-old Ottawa man is expected in court today to face multiple charges including procuring (prostitution), intimidation and human trafficking.

Ottawa police arrested Mohamed Ahmed on Sunday and charged him with several charges in relation to an adult female victim from Ottawa.

Ahmed is facing two counts of human trafficking, two counts of assault, two counts of intimidation, uttering threats and assault with a weapon among other charges.

He appeared in court today and his bail hearing is set for Friday.
