Darwin the IKEA monkey gets his own video game

The IKEA monkey's time in the spotlight may be over, but fans of Darwin can still follow in his shearling-coated footsteps via a videogame produced by a Toronto animator.

The simple Flash game lets players control the adorable primate as he scours the Queensway IKEA parking lot for parts to build a shelf. Along the way, he must dodge shopping carts and fling poop at unsuspecting customers.

The game was created by animator Barnabas Wornoff, who also designed t-shirts featuring Darwin's likeness. According to the website, the shirts can be purchased at Cardinal Skate Shop on Bloor Street West in Toronto.
