A band of Windsor motorists performed something of a citizen's arrest on Saturday, when they boxed in a drunk driver and waited for police to arrive.
According to police, a black Jeep was spotted driving erratically at 9:20 p.m. near Riverside Drive and Jefferson Boulevard. The vehicle was reported again a short time later at Tecumseh and Banwell roads, and was swerving into oncoming traffic with no lights on.
When police arrived on the scene, they found that a group of motorists had surrounded the Jeep with their own vehicles, preventing it from driving any further.
Officers subsequently arrested a 41-year-old man for impaired driving and impounded his vehicle.
Couple had taken possession of new Cantley, Que. house when they arrived to find parked car, shoes, young sleeping adults.
