The Assiniboine Park Conservancy (APC) is bringing back The Great Manitoba Duck Race to help pay for the redevelopment going on at the Assiniboine Park Zoo.
The campaign, which kicked off Thursday morning, will see up to 30,000 yellow rubber duckies take to the Assiniboine River in September with more than $50,000 going to whoever bought the luckiest ducks.
“We’re very excited to bring this fantastic community event back to Winnipeg,” said APC’s president and CEO Margaret Redmond in a release. “It’s a great way for the community to get involved and support their park and zoo and have the chance to win some amazing prizes at the same time.”
Tickets are $10 for one duck, $25 for three, and are on sale until Sept. 4.
