Winnipeg Sun columnist pleads guilty to drunk driving

Well-known Winnipeg Sun columnist Tom Brodbeck has pleaded guilty to drunk driving.

Brodbeck, who has been outspoken in the past against impaired driving, was pulled over and charged with driving under the influence on Oct. 12.

Brodbeck pleaded guilty in a provincial courtroom Dec. 11, and for the plea charges of driving with a blood alcohol level over .08 were stayed.

Brodbeck was ordered to pay a $1,400 fine plus surcharges and is prohibited from driving for a year.
